Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust, 5th Floor lecture TheatreIsca Wittenberg
Over the course of the day, we will remember Isca’s life and work and hear reflections from
Margaret Rustin, Ricky Emanuel, and others, on working with her at the Tavistock and
beyond. Margaret Rustin will introduce the day as former head of the discipline at the
Tavistock and Gianna Williams will talk about working alongside Isca in the Adolescent
Department.

Biddy Youell and Matthew Chuard will talk about Isca’s writing and contribution to education
and their experiences of being taught by her; Matthew as a trainee Educational Psychologist
and Biddy when attending the Tavistock course for teachers in the early 1980s.
We hope to show extracts from video interviews in which Isca puts her own point of view and
we are expecting contributions from colleagues in Norway, Austria, Italy and Australia. There
will also be space for brief reflections from attendees.

Lunch will be provided.
